Our beloved Nettie Lucile Myers-Bourke passed away Friday, July 29, 2011, in Arlington at the age of 90.

Lucy was born March 27, 1921, in Richland Springs, to Thomas Jefferson Myers and Enola Erma Swails-Myers. She was the first born child and the older sister to Orman, Ward, Wayne Douglas (Cotton), Erma, Ray and Jean.

Lucy grew up in San Saba County and attended school in San Saba.

Lucy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny; her parents; brothers, Ward, Cotton and Ray; sisters, Erma and Jean; daughter, Sylvia Ann Bourke-Bass; son-in-law, Keith A Howell; grandson, Spc. Jonathan A. Stehle and great grandson, Jaret Stehle.

She is survived by son, Dennis Bourke and wife, Barbara of Bend; daughter, Lanell Stehle and husband, Murry, of Brady; son, Jack Bourke and wife, Mary, of Plano; daughter, Brenda Howell of Arlington; brother, Orman Myers of Brownwood; and son-in-law, Donald Bass of Conroe. A multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive her.

Funeral services were held at Heritage Funeral home and internment followed at the Richland Springs Cemetery where she was laid to rest next to her beloved Johnny.
