Thursday, August 18, 2011 • Posted August 18, 2011

Preparation for the 2011-2012 school year is in full swing at San Saba ISD! Teachers new to the District attended their first day of in-district training on Friday, August 12. These teachers met with their campus principals, were given an overview of the technology software programs and procedures requiring software applications, and were treated to a BBQ lunch. Commercial National Bank was gracious in lending their meeting room to the staff for this gathering. Department heads and individual people, key to the District success, were on hand to meet the new staff and to wish them luck in their first year in the District.

All staff returned on Monday, August 15, 2011 to a welcome back breakfast. The opening session featured introductions, praise to the Elementary Campus for their Recognized rating, and an overview of school finance, promoting change, and a hard look at accountability. Throughout the week, staff will be attending various meetings including attending the ESC XV Seminar in Brownwood, CSCOPE training, CPR, and Technology Training.

The entire staff is anxiously waiting the return of the student body! It’s all about kids at San Saba ISD, and we are ready to get started on the new school year.
