San Saba High School and Hico High School will be participating in a scrimmage on August 12, 2011 with all proceeds being donated to the THSCA Benevolence Fund. This day has become known as "Our Day to Shine."

The THSCEF Benevolence fund was established by the Texas High School Coaches Association Board of Directors to assist athletes and coaches with special needs or hardships. To date over 500 schools have participated in "Our Day to Shine" and have raised over $120,000. The THSCA has paid $90,000.00 to athletes and coaches with special needs, as well as a sizable donation to the Red Cross hurricane Relief Fund.

The scrimmage will begin at 6:00 p.m. and admission will be by donation. The public is invited to attend.
