The Rev. Bob Allen, senior pastor of First United Methodist Church in Kerrville, will be the evangelist for the 153
Bob Allen was born in February of 1951 to Fred and Vivian Allen in San Antonio. His father was a Maytag appliance salesman/deputy sheriff for Bexar County, while his mother was a homemaker. Bob has three sisters. He and his wife Irene, a retired school teacher and school administrator, have been married for 38 years. They have two grown children. Richard Allen is a middle school coach for SAISD in San Antonio. He is married to Melissa and they have two boys: Drake, 6 and Ryken, 2. Bob and Irene’s daughter Missy Allen Jenson is an associate pastor at First United Methodist Church in New Braunfels. She is married to Ryan Jenson, associate pastor at First United Methodist Church in San Marcos. They recently presented the Allens with their first granddaughter, Addison Grace.
A graduate of New Braunfels High, Rev. Allen earned a B.A. from Southwestern University in Georgetown. He went on to attend Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where he was awarded an M.TH degree.
Rev. Allen was ordained Deacon in the Southwest Texas Conference in 1975 and Elder in the Louisiana Conference in 1978. He currently is an Elder clergy member in full of the Southwest Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. He has served churches in New Orleans, Cuero, Corpus Christi, Brady, Gonzales, San Antonio and Kerrville and has served as a Cabinet member of the Bishop in San Antonio. Currently he is the Senior Pastor of the First UMC in Kerrville.
In addition to spending time with his grandchildren and family, Rev. Allen’s hobbies include fishing and photography.
D’Anne Carter Willis is originally from Cleveland, Texas. She began singing solos in church at the age of 14 and started singing professionally at the age of 16. Her 37 years as a professional singer have included concerts, banquets, retreats, revivals, television appearances, major roles in plays and musicals, a ten week concert tour of the Philippines, and three recordings ("D’Anne," "Long, Long, Journey," and "D’Anne Sings Songs of Our Faith").
D’Anne and her husband, Rick live in Lampasas, Texas. Rick is pastor of First Baptist Church, Lampasas. D’Anne is currently directing three choirs: "Children in Action" (for kindergarten through sixth graders); "Organized Chaos" (4

rd consecutive Methodist Camp Meeting to be held Thursday, August 18 through Sunday evening, August 21. Services begin each evening at 7:30. On Sunday morning there will be Sunday school at 10:00 followed by worship at 11:00. Dinner on the grounds will be served at noon. Due to the extreme heat the Camp Meeting will be held at the Bend Methodist Church rather than the usual campground.th-6th grade girl’s ensemble); "All for One" (Student community choir for 7th-12th graders.
