This Friday night, August 5 at 7:30 and Saturday, August 6 at 4:00 and 7:30 p.m. the Christmas Lighting Committee will present the Sci-Fi action thriller, Transformers. Directed by Michael Bay and stars Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel.

This is an ancient struggle that re-erupts on Earth between two extraterrestrial clans, the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons, with a clue to the ultimate power held by a young teenager. On the planet Cybertron, this war is being waged between the noble Autobots and the devious Decepticons. It is all over control of the Allspark, a mystical talisman that grants unlimited power to whoever possesses it. The Autobots managed to smuggle the Allspark off the planet, but Megatron commander of the Decepticons blasts off in search of it. He eventually tracks it to the planet Earth but his reckless desire for power sends him right into the Artic Ocean, which forces him into a paralyzed state.

The movie will start promptly at 7:30 so come early and see episode 4 of the 1941 serial, "Riders of Death Valley", that stars from the past such as Lon Chaney. Jr., Noah Berry, Buck Jones and Charles Bickford. Serials were a big part of movies on Saturday afternoon so come enjoy a touch of nostalgia. See you at the LanTex.
