A Christian Defined
James' Juncture
Thursday, August 4, 2011 • Posted August 4, 2011

A little fellow asked his dad what a Christian was.

The dad replied that a Christian was a person who loves God and obeys God. He loves his friends, his neighbors, and expresses his appreciation for other Christians. He even loves his enemies, and prays for them that they might be blessed. He is kind, considerate, gentle, courteous in his speech, and has an unselfish attitude. He lives a life that is pure, holy, and Christ-like through and through.

The little fellow thought for a moment, and then asked his dad, "Daddy, have I ever seen one?"

1 Timothy 4:12: "…but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."

If that little fellow saw you, would he think you are a Christian?
