Mr. Woody Martin would like to announce the organization of the Armadillo Academic Renaissance Club (AAR). An academic booster club if you will. The intentions of this new organization are, to enhance the overall academic climate at SSHS. AAR will have three levels of business memberships, Platinum, $65.00; Gold, $55.00 and Silver, $45.00. Individual memberships will also be available for $20.00 per person.

We are going to offer many incentives throughout the year to our students for excellent academic work. We are also considering beginning a Math/Science club that will highlight the ways in which Math and Science are related and the importance of being very sound academically in these areas. We want to create interest and understanding for these two specific subjects.

Business memberships will receive decals to put on the front door of the business; plus decals for the owner's personal vehicles. Personal memberships will include vehicle decals as well. Members will then be eligible to purchase Club shirts at a minimal cost to help boost academics at SSHS. Mr. Scott Meador has volunteered to be President of the newly formed Armadillo Academic Renaissance club. As well, boosters will be invited to events throughout the year.
