Lennie Catheryn McDonald Dismuke

Lennie Catheryn McDonald Dismuke, of San Saba, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011, in San Saba. She was born November 25, 1917 in Benjamin, TX, the daughter of Sarah Louisa Green and Charlie McDonald. She came to San Saba to visit, she met T. K. Dismuke and they were married on November 20, 1936. They made their home in San Saba and spent most of their married lives in San Saba, except for a period of time during World War II when they relocated to Richmond, California where T. K. worked in the shipyard.Their son, Tommy was born in 1938 and later passed away in 1957. Their daughter,Sherry was born in 1946 and spent most of her life in San Saba except for her career-years in the Fort Worth area. Catheryn was the thirteenth child of thirteen born to Louisa and Charlie. She had close relationships with her brothers and sisters and their children. Over the years she planned get-togethers and reunions, keeping all of the extended family as close as she could. She will be missed by many.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 25, 2011, at San Saba’s First Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Crosby officiating. Interment was at the San Saba Cemetery.
