Water color artist Sandra Deans to exhibit paintings at Bon Ami
Thursday, July 21, 2011 • Posted July 21, 2011

At an early age, Sandra Deans began coloring and painting. It was through these experiences she is now an amazing water color artist. Sandra is a self-taught artist who has never had any formal school training. She has attended a number of workshops in the summer to develop additional skills. One such workshop was taught by well known artist, Ken Hosmer. "Your work is happy," said Hosmer in describing Sandra's paintings. This is a quality that is not often captured in art and Sandra does it beautifully. Her paintings make you smile.

Sandra paints what she enjoys and can see a painting come from the beauty of her surroundings. "Water color is magical," Deans said. This is evident in her paintings as the colors capture the eye. And soon, the painting begins to tell the beautiful story that lies within. Sandra is very gifted in capturing the unique and beautiful features in her portraits. She pays special attention to details many artists would miss.

On Saturday, July 23rd, Bon Ami will be hosting a showing of Sandra Deans' beautiful water color paintings. Her original works of art will be on display for you to enjoy. Sandra's very first painting at the age of 10 will be on display, as well. We hope to see you Saturday, July 23rd at Bon Ami, 217 E Wallace, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Come enjoy and celebrate with us the talent of this amazing woman.
