Phil B and Winnie Lou McCoury didn’t attend the San Saba rodeo this year. The first time to miss going in, gosh knows how long. In years past, they have attended in all kinds of weather and even battled wasp one of the years who had taken up residence where they usually sat. That year, the wasp won out and the McCourys sat in other seats.

Robbie Eckhoff was visiting his parents Mebbie and Leon Eckhoff and other members of the family.

Last report on J.C. Barefoot was that he didn’t go home from the hospital last week as first thought he would and was still in the hospital in Lampasas.

Lola Morris reported that Dorothy Morris of Round Rock was involved in a car accident on her way home from a family reunion at Possum Kingdom lake. She suffered some broken ribs, but other than that she seemed to be okay.
