Thursday, June 26, 2008 • Posted June 26, 2008

Clydene Oliver, a retired school teacher, is the San Saba FSA County Committee Advisor and has held the office for four years. Clydene's knowledge of local farming practices and pecan production greatly enhance the work of the County Committee. Ms. Oliver's participation as advisor on the County Committee helps ensure all producers receive equitable and fair treatment in USDA programs.

Clydene is also involved in farming and ranching operations outside of the Committee in San Saba County, as well as in other counties. But her work doesn't end there. Clydene owns several businesses, including Oliver Pecan Co. Inc., Oliver Shelling Plant, Oliver Pecan Mail Order and Kitchen, and Sugarbaker's which is located in San Saba and San Angelo.

Even with her work on the Committee, other farming and ranching operations, and her businesses, Ms. Oliver still takes the time to give back to the community. We greatly appreciate her and her work on the San Saba FSA County Committee.
