Robert Henry Watkins, age 45 completed his walk with the Lord on June 28, 2011. Robert surrendered his life to the Lord and began his working for him in August 2010. He joined The Church of the Open Door.

Some of Robert's happiest moments were spent riding the tractor, mowing the church property and working for the church.

During the time of trial and suffering he always had a positive attitude, a smile for everyone, never complaining and kept the faith that his Jesus was there.

Robert was the son of Robert Harvey and Jewel Louise Watkins. He is survived by his daughter, Brandy Brown Watkins of Houston; his mother, Louise Watkins of San Saba; his brother, Kenneth Ray Watkins and wife Patty of Granite Shoals; Denver Watkins and wife Machelle of San Saba; nine nieces and nephews and seven great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service for Robert will be Sunday, July 17, 2011, 2 p.m. at The Church of the Open Door.

Robert will be missed by all that knew him.
