The Richland Springs cafetorium hosted many events this spring. The cafetorium hosted the one act play presentation, the one act play dinner theatre, the town hall meeting for the bond election, junior/senior prom, 8

Two new teachers will be employed by the district next year to replace retirees Dr. Joseph Huckestein and Kathy Brockman. Thanks to both of you for your years of service to students. Jack Sloan will be teaching middle school and high school science. Kristin Loudermilk will be teaching 4

The Board of Trustees and administrators attended the Texas Association of School Boards Summer Leadership Institute in San Antonio on June 9, 10, and 11. Richland Springs ISD was again recognized for 100% attendance of School Board members. Board members and administrators received valuable training and enjoyed the beautiful sights in San Antonio. The next Board of Trustees regular monthly meeting is scheduled for July 19, 2011 in the Board Room in the cafetorium. The Board of Trustees cordially invites residents to attend board meetings. There is a public forum at the beginning of board meetings that allows for public input. Your input is always welcomed, appreciated, and respected.

th grade graduation, UIL academic awards presentation, National Honor Society induction ceremonies, sports banquet, Heart of Texas Six Man Coaching Clinic, and Project Graduation. Due to the large numbers of guests, the alumni banquet was held in the air conditioned gym. It is always nice to see the alumni return each year. 12th grade graduation was held outdoors on a windy football field. The First Christian Church held Baccalaureate practice and a luncheon for seniors, and then Baccalaureate Services. First Baptist Church held 5th Quarter gatherings after home football games, and meals for 8th grade and 12th grade graduates. Thanks to all who came and supported students at these events. It would not be possible to do all of these events for students without community support! Whether or not you supported a bond issue, you can still support students in their education, athletic, and personal accomplishments at school events. These students are our future! Our school is the center-point of this community, and we hope to see you at many events next year. Thanks again for your support!th, 5th and 6th grade students. A combination pre-K/Kindergarten class will again be taught by Linda Lane, with pre-K being a half-day program with students leaving at noon. Mrs. Slater will be teaching a combined 1st/2nd grade class. Bonnie Burkhart will be teaching 3rd grade this year. TH of July Holiday.
