Elm Grove Echoes
Thursday, June 30, 2011 • Posted June 30, 2011

The good news of the week is the rain last Tuesday night! We had .75 here in Richland and from .4 to .9 out around Elm Grove. It has been so hot with winds out of the south so most of the moisture is probably already gone. We made a trip to Ozona last Saturday and it is much drier there than we are here. Coming home, we noticed we were back between Brady and Menard before we saw any thing green.

Amy and Georgia Tucker escorted Marilyn and me to visit my niece and her husband, Oleta, and Ancel Reed, who are residents at the Crocket County Care Center. Arvin and Drucilla Mitchel and Betty Sessoms all from Ozona, and Susan Gunnels from Georgia all joined us there for a visit.

Only four members were present at the Busy Bee quilting day last week. They were, Irene Hammett, Fay and Gloria Lusty and Marilyn Miller. They were working on Gloria’s quilt and she will bring it back again next month.

G.H. Suber from Odessa was our weekend guest. He attended the bird auction in Lampasas and and did a little buying and selling.

Bethany Suber was in for a quick visit on Sunday. Between work and school, she is a busy girl and we don’t get to see her much.

Santos Elizondo, Sr. is having some health problems and Marilyn will be helping out some with the babysitting. Please add him to your prayer list.
