Still no measurable rain in the past few weeks. However, we had a little shower this morning and it was nice and cool for a while. There is a possibility for rain in the forecast, so let’s keep our fingers crossed!

I lost another cousin last week. Alvin (Dink) Hardman, age 94, of Houston, passed away. He was a brother of Harold Hardman.

We need to make a correction in last week’s report on the 42 tournament. Winning first place was Bryan Smith and Larry Griffin. We apologize to Mr. Griffin for leaving him out. The next tournament will be July 9th at Elm Grove. Mercury has taken the place of Shiloh as a tournament host and it will be there on August 13th.

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Emily Mask. Emily was well liked by all who knew her and we will all miss her. Funeral services were held last Saturday for her. We send our sympathy to John and Sis and their families.

Only 8 folks turned out for the community meeting last Saturday night. Plans were discussed for painting the old school house. The gospel singing will be held on the third Saturday in July and we will also have an ice cream supper along with it. If you have a freezer and would like to contribute, it would be appreciated. All singers, musicians and music lovers are invited. Piano players are always needed and appreciated.
