Emily Mask

Emily Mask, 77, of Richland Springs, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in Brownwood, Texas. She was born October 15, 1933 in Sonora, Texas, the daughter of Adolf F. (Jack) Kasper and Mamie Leifeste Kasper. On March 8, 1957 Emily Leifeste and Mode C. Mask were married in Miles, Texas. Mode passed away March 13, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Mode Mask. She was a member of the Richland Springs First Christian Church.

During her lifetime she worked as a bus driver, secretary for a school system, Abstractor for a law firm, bookkeeper in a bank, relief postmaster and volunteer work for organization one of which is Richland Springs Rodeo Association established a scholarship fund in the memory of her son Kenneth Mask – but her most joyous job was as mother and wife to her family.

Emily is survived by her daughter, Kari Reichenau of Brownwood and her son, John Mask and his wife Michelle of Richland Springs; grandchildren, Kirstin and Mason Reichenau, Joyslynn and Macy Mask and Kris Morris; her sister, Helen Willis of Pontotoc; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Michael Suber officiating. Interment was at the Richland Springs Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Mask-Till Scholarship Fund.
