San Saba’s First Baptist Church to host “What is Truth” Conference

The four day "What is Truth" conference promises to be an exciting event for the whole family. Far reaching topics such as "Oprah – Where has she taken us?", "Current Biblical Apologetics," "What is the emergent church and how does it affect your faith?", and "What is the true interpretation of God’s Word – the Bible?" will be discussed by the speakers who will be a part of this conference.

Speakers for the week will be Dr. Daniel Wallace - Professor of New Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary; Dr. Voddie Baucham – Pastor of Preaching at Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, Texas; Lisa Whelchel – former "Facts of Life" star, speaker and author; Eric Barger – of Take a Stand Ministries; and Stephen Mansfield – New York Times bestselling author including "The Faith of George W. Bush." Worship music for the week will be led by contemporary Christian music pioneer, Chuck Girard.

The conference will begin nightly at 7:00 p.m. A nursery will be provided for the evening sessions.

A nursery (for 3 yrs. and under) and childcare (ages 4 thru 4th grade) will be provided by reservation. The cost for either luncheon is $6/person. Tickets are available at Cuttin’ Up Salon, Salon 111, Bon Ami, and in the church office.
