The Llano Junior Woman’s Culture Club will offer the movie THOR this Friday night, June10 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 11, at 4:00 and 7:30 p.m. The movie proceeds will go toward their projects, one of which is Coats for Kids.

Marvel Studios expands its film universe with a new type of superhero, THOR. This epic adventure spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. It stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, and Stellan Skarsgard as Erik.

The warrior Thor is cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard by his father, Odin for his arrogance and is sent to Earth to live among humans. He goes to medical school and becomes a caring doctor by the name of Donald Blake. Of course, he falls in love with a scientist, Jane who teaches Thor much needed lessons. His new found strength comes into play as a villian from his homeland sends dark forces toward Earth. He was transformed into Thor again when he discovers a cane in a cave. He fights against the Kronans and wins. The movie is filled with complications of his love life and the fact that Odin does not want him involved with a mortal on earth.
