Still no rain to report from the northwest corner of the county and it is plenty hot and dry!

The Busy Bee quilting has been postponed until June 21st due some conflicts.

The Elm Grove VFD fundraiser will be this Saturday night, June 11th, at the fire station. It will be a fish fry with all the trimmings followed by an auction. There is plenty of room since the fire station has been enlarged. There was a good crowd last year and we are hoping for even more this year. Make plans to attend. Come and enjoy some good food and visiting and help out a very worthwhile cause. It has been an expensive year for all the fire departments what with all the wildfires. The VFD can use all the help it can get!

The 42 tournament was supposed to be at Richland Springs this time, but it was decided to move it to Elm Grove so you can attend the fundraiser then go on down to the community center and play 42.

Our bunch went to San Angelo last Saturday for the 1st birthday party for Sophia Elizondo. Fourteen guests enjoyed a backyard barbecue and birthday cake. We enjoyed watching the kids play on the slip and slide and of course, Sophia was the center of attention. Her birthday is June 10th. Hard to believe that year has gone by so fast!
