SSISD welcomes new coach for the Lady Armadillos

San Saba ISD will be hosting "Meet the Coach" on Thursday, June 2. This event will begin at 6:00 pm and will be hosted in the Armadillo Arena.

The SSISD is proud to announce the employment of Alicia Cummings as the new leader of the Lady Armadillo program.

Coach Cummings comes to San Saba from successful programs in Hico ISD and Coleman ISD and after a stellar college and high school athletic career.

Alicia will join forces with Coach Kara Stowe, who was recently named the 2A Assistant Coach of the Year. These two ladies will make a dynamic team to lead the Lady Armadillo Program.

Coach Cummings was a stand out athlete in her college and high school program and brings much experience and enthusiasm to the program. Alicia has experience coaching basketball, cross country, track, tennis and volleyball. Alicia’s athletic and academic record includes: ESPN First Team Academic All-American, NCAA Division II Central Region Tennis Player of the Year, NCAA Division II Tennis Lone Star Conference Player of the Year, member of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. All Lady Armadillo student athletes and their parents or anyone interested in girl’s athletics is encouraged to attend.
