Music Association of Central Texas "Groovy" Awards Banquet

Recently the Music Association of Central Texas held its annual awards ceremony and awarded their "Groovy Awards." Brad Vaughn, native of San Saba, received the Groovy Award for Producer of The Year. Brad is a 1995 graduate of San Saba High School. The Music Association of Central Texas holds the annual Groovy Awards Banquet to recognize Central Texas musicians for their contributions to the area music scene. Brad was not able to attend this year's banquet which was held on March 24th because he was on a working trip to Cozumel, Mexico.

Brad is the owner of Magination Music Management. He manages several bands and individual performers in the Waco, Texas area. Most notably he represents the Gordon Collier Band which took home top honors at the Groovy Awards Banquet for Country Band for the second year in a row and for the third time in the last four years. He was also nominated for Song of the Year.

Other bands that are managed by Brad and received nominations were Allen Brown Country who had nominations in several categories including Country Band, Entertainer Of The Year, Male Vocalist and Song Of The Year, and Dustin Terral who was nominated for Soloist Of The Year.

The Gordon Collier Band is scheduled to perform in San Saba on October 22nd at the San Saba River Pecan Jam to be held in Risien Park.

He is also on the Board of Directors for the Music Association of Central Texas and is the former President of the Board for Keep McLennan County Beautiful. Brad is the son of Jack & Sandra Vaughn.
