Thursday, May 26, 2011 • Posted May 26, 2011

John, it's been over 41 years since I last saw you on January 15, 1970, in Camp Pendleton Staging Battalion, San Diego, CA.

I have never forgotten you, friend, and pray for your soul every day.

I have been anticipating this day, to come and pay my respects to you and your family here in your home town of San Saba, Texas.

You are one of over 58,044 brothers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom.

I am continuing my mission from here to the 'WALL' in Washington, D.C. for this Memorial Day Weekend. Once there, I will pay my respects to you and place a memorial in your honor.

With Love, Respect and Brotherhood.
