A sad conclusion of last week’s election is that the citizens of San Saba care more about whiskey than kids. As a descendant of the pioneer families that settled this county, I have many compelling reasons to return to the land of my forebears. However, I would be reluctant to raise my children in a community that did not value the education of the young.
