Karen Pierce Sholdt, 55 died peacefully at Hill Country Healthcare in Llano, Texas on May 20, 2011. She was born in San Saba, Texas on November 13, 1955 and is the daughter of John and Bobbie Pierce. She attended Robert E. Lee High school in Midland, Texas as her family moved to West Texas in 1953.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bobbie Pierce and sister, Sandra Watkins. She is survived by son, Robert Brown Jr. of Dallas and daughter Jessica Brown, stationed in Germany in the U.S. Army. She is also survived by her brother, Charles W. Pierce; nieces, Shelley Jones, Leanna Anderson and Lacey Wood; nephew, Colby Pierce all of Midland, Texas; and nephews, Hunter Pierce and Matt Wilson of Edmond Oklahoma; and various extended family in San Saba, Llano, Clifton, and Midland, Texas.

The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 25 at 3:00 p.m. at Howell Doran Funeral Home in San Saba, Texas with a graveside service immediately following at the San Saba Cemetery.
