Tracie Taylor, local 2nd grade teacher, publishes first children's book
Thursday, May 19, 2011 • Posted May 19, 2011

Tracie Taylor, a 2nd grade teacher at San Saba Elementary, has spent the last year working with Tate Publishing on her new children's book. Find Your Shoes, John Blane is a story of a young boy searching for his shoes (his "fit" in life).

After submitting her manuscript in January of 2010, Tracie received news of its acceptance on Easter weekend several months later. During the past year, Tate Publishing has taken her through the process of editing, illustration, and now marketing.

The official release date of Tracie's book is July 5th. At that time, it will be available nation wide at Barnes and Noble, Family Christian and other book store chains. In the weeks leading up to its release, Tracie is making her book available through local and area book signings. Her first book signing is set for Saturday, May 21st from 10:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. at Bon Ami located at 217 E. Wallace in San Saba. Not only is this her first book signing, it is also Tracie's 40th (I mean 29th) Birthday!

After realizing her dream of twenty years, Tracie couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than on her birthday! She found her shoes!
