Llano Film Society to show "St. Nick" Friday night

Llano Main Street and the Llano Film Society will show the second in a series of the Texas Institute Film Network’s movies this Friday night, May 13 at the LanTex titled St. Nick. Box office will open at 7:00 p.m., with the movie beginning at 7:30 p.m. The price is $5.00. The film was awarded the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature film at SXSW in 2009.

St. Nick, directed by David Lowery and produced by James Johnston is the story of a brother and sister on the run. Youngsters, aged eleven and eight leave home for an unknown reason and are living in the world, hiding in barns and sheds. The kids have to do what they can to survive, which is hard as a bitter Texas winter sets in causing them to live in a residence in an abandoned country house for a brief, happy period. They manage to escape the harsh realities of their circumstances.
