On April 18, 2011 San Saba ISD was honored to host a tour of the facilities that was sponsored by our parent facility committee. The committee members headed by Tony Guidroz and Debbie Shahan solicited donations from various vendors and rallied volunteers that helped make the event incredible. Donating door prizes to the event were: Mike Nelson, Blossman Exterminating, Alco, KNUZ Radio, R & R Fuel Stop, West End Convenience, Riggs Fertilizer, and Kevin and Margie Keeney. Food Items were donated by G & R Grocery, Sysco Foods, Brownwood Dr. Pepper, and Hibler & Sons Processing. We were fortunate to have many volunteers to help provide tours of the facilities and act as hosts and hostess serving hamburgers and hot dogs to the crowd. We are proud to report that approximately 300 people attended the event that featured door prizes, the San Saba Armadillo Band in concert, and tours of the elementary campus, the science labs, the band hall and red gym. We truly appreciate the outstanding support we received on this evening and thank each and every vendor, volunteer, staff member volunteering their time, and most importantly the people who came out to look at the facilities of San Saba ISD.
