The San Saba Garden Club is offering its spring garden tour on Saturday, June 4. Tour hours are from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The tour starts at the home of Gail and Lester Bruner at 1104 W. Commerce. The Bruners will be serving complimentary refreshments on their spacious veranda which overlooks the gorgeous garden. Tickets are $10 per person. After leaving the Bruner home, tour participants will furnish their own transportation and may visit the other tour sites in any order they wish during the designated tour hours.

The tour will feature several homes within the City of San Saba and three homes on Sloan Road. The Sloan Road tour includes the homes of Donna and Larry Baker, Kathleen and Ray Hawkins, and Jimma and Johnnie Byrd. All of these gardens start with beautiful natural environments (some featuring natural springs or other water features) which have been enhanced to create stunningly picturesque settings.

Make plans now to attend this delightful event. Not only will you be able to see each garden, you’ll be able to visit with homeowners about how they planned their gardens, selected the right plants and how they maintain their environment throughout the year to get the most visual joy.

In addition to the garden tour, the Club will raffle one of Anna Wilson’s original paintings.
