We woke up to thunder and rain this Monday morning. We received 1.4 inches here in Richland Springs with about the same amount in the surrounding areas. The cold wind started Sunday morning and it did not get out of the fifties all day. San Saba county has a frost warning for tonight. We actually had a fire in the fireplace today and it felt good!

We are starting another new month with the Cox Cemetery meeting this Saturday at 9:30 AM. Memorials or donations to the cemetery may be sent to June Beakley, 1557 CR 448, Rochelle, Texas 76872.

The Richland Springs High School Alumni Banquet will be this Saturday night in the Gymnasium. Doors open at 6:00 and the catered meal will be served at 7:00 PM. The price of admission is $10.00 per person. All past students are invited and encouraged to attend.

The Busy Bee quilters will meet Tuesday, May 10th. The 42 tournament will be at Shiloh on May 14th. Then Elm Grove Homecoming picnic will be May 21st. Make plans to attend and see people that you might not have seen in years.

Emily Mask had to make a trip to the hospital over the weekend but she is back at Songbird Lodge, room 63. Please keep Emily in your prayers.
