The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met for play day on April 21, 2011 with only four ladies present, Sandee Hartley, Hattie Rogers, Dorothy Sterner, and the Chair for April, Jo Ann Snow. Even though the crowd was small, the ladies had a fine round of golf on a beautiful April day. Jo Anne Hardy came out prepared to read the minutes, but there was no business meeting.

Jo Ann Snow, the April Chair, called for a game of traveling 4-ball point system. Dorothy Sterner had her day in the sun! She won First Place in the game, First Low Net, chipped in three times to split the chip in pot with Hattie Rogers, who also chipped in, and won the Putt Pot! WOW! Great day for Dorothy! She was only one stroke out of winning First Low Gross, which went to Sandee Hartley.

The ladies are preparing for the Spring Four Lady Tournament scheduled for May 14, 2011. If you haven’t entered your team, please do so as soon as possible, by calling Anita Miles at 325-372-3581. This is always a fun tournament with a full slate of players from all over Central Texas. And the local ladies always have a win or two because they’ve been ‘swinging!’
