second place in a playback since we had not played the second place team of Cisterol and Conoly from Wall. Diego and Kobe lost a hard fought match 6-3, 6-3. Diego and Kobe had a great year winning 29 matches and only losing 9 matches.
Also in Boys Doubles were Houston Casco and Josh Raiford. Houston and Josh played well also but could not overcome the team from Coahoma of Gonzales and Martinez as they lost in 3 sets 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.
In Boys Singles Marshal McIntosh lost in the quarterfinals. Marshal played Brady Clark from Wall and defeated Brady 7-6, 6-2. In Girls Singles San Saba had two entry's in Joely Haverland and Lauren Dawson. In the round of 16 Joely, the only freshman girl's singles at regionals, lost to senior Tiffany Hoelscher from Wall 6-1, 6-3. Lauren Dawson defeated Caitlain Wheat from Eastland 6-2, 6-4. In Mixed Doubles San Saba was represented by Heather Wilcox and Jose Vega. Mixed Doubles was probably the most difficult division this year as there were several very good teams that all had a chance to win it. Heather and Jose played a very strong team from Ingram, Moore and Sherrif. Heather and Jose came close to winning the first set before losing in a tiebreaker 7-6. Moore and Sherrif with the momentum of the first set won the second set 6-1.
