Commissioners renew Outdoor Burning Ban

The San Saba County Commissioners Court met on Monday, April 25th at 9:00 a.m. in the County Judge’s Chambers. County Judge Byron Theodosis called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone to the court. County Commissioner, Rickey Lusty gave the invocation and everyone joined for the pledges to the American and Texas flags.

EMS Director, Wymond Kraft gave information regarding the medicare billing for EMS fees and recommended amending them. More details will be given at the next Commissioners Court to be approved.

There was discussion regarding the disposition of deceased paupers with a price comparison given by Judge Les Dawson. There will be no change in the County’s policy regarding this matter.

The Commissioners approved the accounts payables presented by County Treasurer,Gayla Hawkins. They set the next Commissioners Court for Monday,

May 9th at 9 a.m.

The drought and windy conditions in our area, and the fires in parts of Texas is a concern.

The Burn Ban enacted on January 31st will expire on April 30th, so after discussion, the Court enacted a new Outdoor Burning Ban as of April 25th until July 25th. The details of this Burn Ban will be listed in The San Saba News & Star.
