Pond Management Program – May 10th

If you have an interest in learning more about pond (stock tank) management then mark your calendars for Tuesday evening May 10, 2011. That is the date of a Pond Management program. It is being conducted by the Brown County Extension Office. This will be an on-site program. Dr. Michael Masser, Extension Fisheries Specialist from Texas A&M will provide the training. Topics will include management of aquatic weeds, fish stocking, water quality, and pond design. This program is open to anyone interested. There will be a $10 registration fee payable at the beginning of the program on May 10, 2011.

Program participants should meet at the Zephyr Football Complex located on HWY 183/84 just North of Zephyr. At 6:00p.m. we will travel to the program site. Now is your chance to get first hand knowledge of aquatic weeds identification, best management practices and more. For more information contact the Brown County Extension Office at 325-646-0386. Two (2) CEU’s will be given to licensed pesticide applicators.
