The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met April 14, 2011 for play day with the Chair for April, Dorothy Sterner, calling for a game of "Best at Something", where you get a point for being in the fairway on your drive, for being on the green in regulation, and for a one putt - and you have to subtract one point for lost ball, being in a hazard, or three putting.

There was a tie for First between Sandee Hartley, who also scored the Low Gross for the day, and Jo Anne Hardy, who scored the Low Net for the day, and also chipped in to win the chip in pot and the putt pot. Great day for Jo Anne with a net score of 65, seven strokes under her handicap! Wow! The ladies were happy to have Hattie Rogers back on the links, and other players were Jo Ann Snow and Janet Hoyt.

The Pecan Classic Four Lady Tournament is scheduled for May 14, 2011 and the entries are coming in daily, so if you haven’t entered your team, please do so as soon as possible by calling Anita Miles, 325-372-3581.

And the local ladies are honing their skills by staying out in the sunshine and ‘swinging’!
