There has been no rain the past week and the strong winds have just about blown away all the moisture we got last week.

There were seven ladies in attendance at the Busy Bee quilting last Tuesday. They were, Irene Hammett, Fay and Gloria Lusty, Grace Hardman, Carol Orr, Nancy Slaughter and Marilyn Miller. They were working on Gloria’s quilt and she will bring it back again next month. Marilyn Suber and I visited for a while.

There were only nine in attendance at the community meeting last Saturday night. The working committees have been made up for the Homecoming Picnic on May 21st. This list will be included in next week’s newsletter. The workers have been contacted. There was some discussion about getting estimates on the cost of painting the community center. It has been seven years since it was painted and it is beginning to need it.

The Subers and I took in two ball games in Brady last Tuesday night. Georgia Tucker was playing softball on one field and Jesse Tucker was playing on another field at the same time. Stacie and Sophia Elizondo and Bethany Suber came down from San Angelo to join us for the games, then we all went out for supper. We all enjoyed the evening. I just love to watch the kids play ball! It was also fun to watch Sophia getting acquainted and learning how to play with other little ones.

You need to make sure your calendars are marked for the rodeo coming up August 4th, 5th and 6th.
