The Conference 2A - District 6 UIL Competition for 2011 was hosted by Hico ISD on March 22 - 23, 2011. Six students from San Saba High School will advance to the Regional Meet in Odessa on April 15 and 16.

The Accounting Team made up of Allan Hale, Ashley Pulatie, Tanner Weyerts and Kristen Jordan placed 1st and will advance to Regional competition. Allan Hale placed 3rd individually and will advance to Regionals. Ashley Pulatie placed 6th individually in the District meet.

The Spelling and Vocabulary Team made up of Heather Wilcox, Lauren Dawson, Jose Vega and Nickie Ortiz placed 2nd and is the Regional Alternate. Heather Wilcox placed 2nd and will advance to Regionals. Lauren Dawson placed 6th individually in the District meet.

In the Feature Writing event, Marshal McIntosh placed 2nd individually and will advance to Regionals.

At the District level Tarah Crosby placed 5th individually in Calculator Applications and Luke Cox placed 5th individually in Number Sense.
