Rango to show at the Lantex this Week-End

Llano Main Street will sponsor Rango at the LanTex this Friday night April 15 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday April 16

th at 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The computer animated film stars (the voices of) Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Timothy Olyphant, Ned Beatty and Alfred Molina and is directed by Gore Verbinski.

A pet chameleon, voiced by Johnny Depp becomes accidentally stranded in the Mojave Desert after his terrarium falls from his owner’s car. After meeting 2 spirited characters, named Roadkill, who is seeking the mystical Spirit of the West and a desert Iguana named Beans, he is taken by them to Dirt, an Old West town populated by desert animals.

In order to fit in, the chameleon decides if he wants to fit in he has to take on the persona of Rango, a tough drifter. He quickly runs afoul of outlaw Bad Bill who is scared off by a hawk. Heroically, Rango, kills the hawk and the Mayor appoints him the new sheriff.

Many interesting things happen throughout the movie, including tracking robbers of the stolen water tank and he meets their leader Balthazar. Find out more by coming to the LanTex for this fun filled comedy.
