Elm Grove Echoes

We had a nice surprise in the form of a thunder storm blowing through Sunday night. Along with some really strong wind and thunder, lightning and a little hail, it delivered 1.1 inches of rain here in Richland and an even inch at Elm Grove. It was most welcome and we are very thankful!

There were three tables of 42 players at the tournament last Saturday night. First place went to Bill Harlow and Alan Taylor and there was a tie for second place between David Hulmes and Donna Taylor and Andy Cummings and Curtis Lee.

The community meeting will be held this Saturday night and the final plans for the homecoming picnic will be made. The list of working committees will be ready for you to find out what your job is.

Marilyn, Michael and Bethany Suber and I attended Jesse Tucker’s baseball game last Friday night in Brady. His team won by a score of 14-3.

On Saturday, Marilyn, Bethany and I attended Hannah Parson’s 7th birthday party at the park in Bangs. All of those little girls were so much fun to watch as they played their games. We forget how much squealing is required to play when you are that age!

We hear that Emily Mask is critically ill. We send our prayers and best wishes to Emily and her family.
