What an exciting week in softball! In the two games this past week, the Lady Dillos scored a combined 38 runs. The Lady Dillos were victorious 24-9 vs Coleman & 14-2 vs Hico. The bats were on fire this week.

McKenzie Hibler led the way at the plate with a Grand Slam and an RBI double. Candace Saldivar knocked in 4 runs, while Nickie Ortiz drove in 3 runs. Tarah Crosby, Paige Faught, Itzel Reza, & Bianca Dawson each drove in 2 runs. Ashley Pulatie also knocked in a run.

Nickie Ortiz led the way in the circle. She threw 5 innings allowing 5 earned runs, while striking out 6 batters.

Friday versus Hico kicked off the second round of district. Tarah Crosby put on a hitting clinic at the plate. Tarah went 3 for 4 with 3 homeruns and 5 RBI’s. McKenzie Hibler added a 2 run homerun. Nickie Ortiz, Bianca Dawson, and Candace Saldivar added RBI’s as well.

Nickie Ortiz was in the circle versus Hico. She pitched 6 innings allowing 1 earned run. She walked 3 while striking out 11.

This week, the Lady Dillos face Comanche at home and travel to Early to face the 1
