San Saba Elementary School will be accepting pre-registrations for Pre-Kindergarten and new students for the 2011-2012 school year on April 19 from 9:00 – 11:00 p.m. and 12:30 – 1:30 in the San Saba Elementary Office. Evening registration will be from 5:30 – 6:30. The following items will be needed for pre-registration:

· Registration contact sheet

· Completed home language survey

· Copy of the child’s social security card

· Copy of the child’s immunization record

· Copy of the child’s official birth certificate, issued from the county or state

· Copy of enrolling parent’s drivers license or identification

For the Pre-Kindergarten program, the child must be 3 on or before September 1, 2011. We are considering changes to the Pre-Kindergarten program that would allow for an ALL DAY program with an OPEN ENROLLMENT to better meet the needs of the students of San Saba. Things to consider would be:

· The possibility of a tuition based pre-kindergarten program (No qualification requirement – Available for all students)

· The number of students to preregister

· AM and PM sections for Pre-K 3

· Full day section for Pre-K 4

Qualification for the Pre-Kindergarten program can still be met by any of the following:

· Student cannot speak or comprehend English

· Student is homeless

· Student qualifies for the free or reduced lunch program based on state guidelines

· Student has a parent or step-parent active in the U.S. Military· Student is or has been in foster car

For Kindergarten, the child must be 5 on or before September 1, 2011.

Pre-Kinder y Kinder

San Saba Escuela Primaria seguira teniendo pre-inscripciones para Pre-Kinder y nuevo estudiantes para el ano escolar 2011-2012 a traves de 19 april 2011. Los siguientes elementos seran necesarios para la pre-inscripcion:

· Paquete de registro llenada

· Inicio encuesta del idioma

· Copia de su tarjeta de seguro social

· Copia del registro de vacunacion del nino

· Copia de su certificado de nacimiento official, emitido por el condado o estado

· Copia de los padres de licencia de conducir o identificacion

Estamos considerando cambios en el programa preescolar que permitiria un todo el dia del programa con un inscripcion abierta a satisfacer major las necesidades de los estudiantes de San Saba. Aspectos a considerer seria:

· La posibilidad de una matricula segun programa preescolar (ningun requisito de calificacion – disponible para todos los estudiantes)

· El numero de estudiantes a preregister

· Secciones AM y PM de Pre-K 3

· Seccion de dia complete de Pre-K 4

Para el programa de Pre-Kindergarten, el nino debe ser de 3 a mas tardar el 1 de septiembre do 2011 y calificar sobre la base de uno de los siguientes criterios:

· Un estudiante que no puede hablar o entender Ingles

· Un estudiante que no tiene hogar

· Un estudiante que califica para el almuerzo gratis o precio reducido programa basado en las directriices estatales

· Un estudiante cuyo los padres es active en los militares de los US

· Cuidado de crianza

Para el Kindergarten, el nino debe ser 5 o antes del 1 de septiembre de 2011.
