The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met March 31, 2011 for play day with the Chair for March, Dorothy Sterner, calling for flighted match play. The First Flight of Anita Miles defeated Sandee Hartley. In the Second Flight Dorothy Sterner defeated Jo Anne Hardy and Jo Ann Snow. It was a fun day. Anita won the Putt Pott and was Low Gross and Low Net. Jo Anne Hardy won the Chip In Pot, she also chipped in last week to split the pot with Dorothy but it wasn’t reported. Sometimes the reporter drops the ball! Sandee scored the only birdie.

The business meeting will be postponed until April 14, 2011 as several ladies are attending the Texas Senior Women’s Amateur Golf Tournament in Delaware Springs on the regular meeting date.

George Rogers is home from the hospital and doing well. We just hope he’ll give his nurse, Hattie Rogers, the day off soon so she will be back on the links with us! We miss Hattie!

We are hoping that we have winners next week. We almost always do but it’s stiff competition and so we will be out there practicing and "swinging!"
