Dorothy Jones, 87 of San Saba, TX. passed away on April 2, 2011 at Care Nursing in Brownwood. Dorothy was born on July 19, 1923 in San Saba, Tx. to Tom and Nancy Moore. On November 2, 1944 Dorothy and Herman Jones were united in marriage and remained married until Herman’s death on September 1, 1978. Dorothy was a Presbyterian and lived almost her entire life in San Saba except for the past five years when she was in Care Nursing Home in Brownwood.

Dorothy is survived by her son, John Jones of San Saba; her daughters, Elaine Rankin of Brownwood, Gloria Brady and her husband, Bill of Brownwood; her sister, Mildred Rankin and her husband, Leslie of Aledo; her sister-in-law, Syble Moore of Odessa; her grandchildren, Christy Chambers and her husband,Cody of Brownwood, Johnny Jones of Mable Falls, Diane Powell and Kenneth of Flower Mound; her great-grandchildren, Leigh Ann Rogers of Brownwood, Zane Rogers of Brownwood and Levi Powell of Flower Mound.

Visitation was on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 12:00 PM - 1:45 PM. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, 2:00 PM at San Saba Cemetery.
