Mission San Saba gearing up for 2011
Thursday, April 7, 2011 • Posted April 7, 2011

As summer quickly draws near, so does the time once again for Mission San Saba. For the past seven years, local community volunteers have made it possible to bless seven families with much needed repairs on their homes. Through the help of our community, Mission San Saba has become an annual event. There is so much planning that must take place in order for the mission to be a success.

Thoughout the past year, we have been planning and making the necessary arrangements to bless another family in San Saba. The home that Mission San Saba will work on this year belongs to Johnny and Amanda Saldivar and is located at 406 N. Cherokee St.

We are asking for the support of the community of San Saba to help us raise enough money to complete our plans for the Saldivar's home. Any donations are greatly appreciated. All of the proceeds will go directly to the cost of building supplies to restore this home.

Other ways the community can help is by lifting the mission up in prayer, volunteering to work, providing meals for the Mission San Saba team, donations of materials such as lumber, insulation, plywood, electrical wire, paint supplies, etc.

The Annual Mission San Saba garage sale will be held April 23 and we are currently accepting donations of nice sellable items.

There is so much to do, and teamwork is the key. You can make contributions to Mission San Saba at the City National Bank in San Saba or send it to 3210 FM 500, San Saba. It is such a blessing to be a blessing. For more information about donating or Mission San Saba, please call 623-5429 or 372-1070.

A very special thanks to Sonic for your support! Thank you San Saba for a very successful 2010 project.
