San Saba High School Tennis Report

The San Saba Tennis Team played in the Fredericksburg Hill Country Championships on March 24 – 26. San Saba brought home 4 first place medals winning both the girls doubles and boys doubles in division II. Tarah Crosby and Joannah Crosby won first place in Division II Girls Doubles. Kobe Cisneroz and Diego Gonzales won first place in Division II Boys Doubles. B.J. Harbour was a quarterfinals in Division II Boys Singles.

There were 26 teams at the tournament. Teams playing in the tournament were Blanco, Boerne, Brady, Center Point, Comfort, Eden, Floresville, Fredericksburg, Hondo, Ingram, Junction, Kerrville, Lohn, Mason, Menard, New Braunfels Canyon, New Braunfels High, Pflugerville, San Antonio Brandeis, San Antonio Health Careers, San Antonio Marshall, San Antonio O’Connor, San Antonio Taft, San Saba, Smithson Valley, and Uvalde.

San Saba will be playing in the Mason Tournament on March 28 – April 2. On Monday and Tuesday, April 4 -5, the Armadillos will be playing in the district tournament at Early High School.

San Saba’s match results at the Frederickburg Tournament are as follows:

Division I Boys Singles

Lauren Dawson defeated Alexandria Butts (Floresville) 6-1, 6-0

Round of 16: Lauren Dawson lost to Marianna Rong (S.A. O’Connor) 6-0,6-0
