RSHS One Act Play advances from North Zone

District 30A consists of thirteen schools; therefore, it is divided into two zones for the one act play contest. The North Zone contest was held in Mason on March 23, 2011, with two plays named the advancing plays to the District Meet. Richland Springs and Eden were named the two advancing plays. Richland Springs performed August: Osage County while Eden performed Egad, What a Cad!

Six students from Richland Springs received gold medals. Stephen Fowler was named to the All-Star Crew. Melanie Hedley who plays the young daughter, Jean, was named to the Honorable Mention Cast. Brooklyn McGinty, who plays Jean’s mother, Barbara; Katelynn Teel, who plays Ivy; and Brooke Vaughn, who plays Mattie Faye, were all named to the All Star Cast. Sara Hedley was named Best Actress.

The District Meet will be held in Mason on Wednesday, March 30th with plays beginning at 2:00 p.m.
