Receipts totaled 3322 head for the week. The market was active and demand good with several consignments of replacement females being offered with the good young pairs bringing from $1250 up to $1800 and some of the medium quality and pairs carrying less flesh bringing from $1050 up to $1300. The bred cows to calve this spring brought from $1050 up to $1370 with the shorter bred fall calving cows selling from $900 up to $1100. The bred heifers were in good demand with the spring calving heifers bringing $1200 up to $1500 with one set of choice Herefords selling for $1650. The short bred heifers sold from $950 up to $1325 on a set of 26 choice fall calving Hereford heifers. The calf market saw stocker steers and heifers continue at high levels with both selling on a steady market. The feeder steers and heifers sold mostly $2-$3 lower. Packer cows and bulls sold steady. Pat Griswold Ranch offered 16 choice Angus bulls which averaged $2800 with the top selling bulls bringing $3300.
