Well Spring Break is finally over and most of the visitors have all gone home. The population around the Bend increased by the hundreds this past week. Visitors came from all over to fish, visit and just enjoy the nice weather. All the camps were full to overflowing and some people had to be turned away as all the spaces were taken. Barefoot fishing camp was overflowing and several families stayed in the Leaning Bluff Lodge. Jackie and Charlene were two busy people.

Bobbie Morris reported that the High Valley Baptist church will be holding a Spring Revival starting March 25 through the 27. Everyone is invited to attend. The evening services will be at 7:00 p.m. and the Sunday morning service will be at 11:00 a.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. George Watts who is the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Fredericksburg. High Valley church is located on FM 501. If you need additional information contact Pastor Michael Taylor at 325-205-2877.

The Price family had family members visit from Midland over the Spring Break. Her brother Larry, his wife Donna and their two boys Daniel and Trent came in Monday to celebrate Jo’s birthday. A fish fry was held with the fish that Larry had caught at Lake Buchanan. They returned to Midland Thursday.

Donna Linholm of Midland came in over the weekend to visit Robert, Spring and Haley Price and returned to Midland Monday...

Tommie and Jane Tinney had visitors over the Spring Break. On March 11, all of their grandchildren came in for a visit. This past Friday Gary and Melinda Freeland of Canyon Lake along with Mindy Freeland of Grand Prairie were in. Gary took the boys to the Enchanted Rock for the day and the girls spent the day with Grandma Jane.

A 2nd cousin Allison "Alli" Schroedy and a friend from Round Rock came in and spent the weekend with Tommie and Jane. Alli is teaching fourth graders in the Round Rock school system and has just recently become acquainted with her cousin Jane.

The meeting at the Bend Community Center went off Saturday with lots of good food and entertainment. Wendy Pausewang and children Derek, Mikaela and Logan from Goldthwaite presented a most enjoyable program for the folks that attended. Out of town visitors were Jeff and Sandy Gary and sons of Ft. Worth, Mike Pausewang, Garrett Dickie of Goldthwaite, from San Saba Mark and Kay Lynn Scott.

The Gary family was in visiting her parents, Dennis and Glenda Scroggins.

William and Jane Clark have returned home after a visit to Colorado. They along with family members spent Spring Break at their place in Crested Butte, Colorado. William took a fall and injured his shoulder while skiing and chipped a bone in his shoulder. He was at Scott and White Monday and doctors put him in something to immobile his arm so that it might heal without having to have surgery. Andrew Houdyshell is at home suffering from a case of strep throat. Other than that the family seems to be okay. The family needs to be in your prayers.

It is getting near the end of the month and time for the Family Council of Eventide to meet at the Library in San Saba. The meeting will be Saturday, March 26, starting at 10:15 a.m.. Take an hour from your day if you have a family member or have a friend in the Nursing home to come and sit in on the council. The meeting is always on the last Saturday of each month.

Happy birthday greetings go out to Nolan Hicks who will celebrate a birthday March 27.

Congratulations go out to Jim and Edna Machen who will celebrate an anniversary March 25 and to Dennis and Glenda Scroggings who will celebrate their anniversary March 27.
