Thursday, March 24, 2011 • Posted March 24, 2011

The Wallace Creek Extension Education Club met, Thursday, March 17, at the clubhouse.

Lynn Blankenship called the meeting to order. The members answered the roll call to "Tell about your most dreaded task." The minutes were read from the February 17 meeting. The treasurer's report was given. Lynn gave the council meeting report: May Event will be held May 11 at the Methodist Church registration starting at 9:30. The program speakers will be Jymma Byrd, Kay Stewart and Buddy Whitley. The delegates for the District TEEA meeting in Anson, Texas will be Barbara Porter and Imogene Hawkins, with Betty Wilson and Faye Currie going as non-delegates. The District TEEA meeting will be April 12. March 28 will be the Hamilton County Extension Education Clubs "Spring Fling." Those going to Spring Fling may pay $8.00 at the door, no reservations required. The group discussed the annual ice cream supper. Monday, September 19 was agreed upon for the ice cream supper. Each one shall bring ideas for a fund-raiser to the next meeting.

The meeting was adjourned.

No regular program was held. Several of the ladies had brought items they are making. They started on items for the silent auction to be had at the May Event. And then did spring cleaning on the building.

Lynn Blankenship served refreshments to Doris Cates, Noma Fitzgerald, Imogene Hawkins, Marilyn Miller and Margie Osborn. I would like to apologize for omitting Gloria Lusty's name from the last month's meeting.
