Fund Raiser to be held for the Ed & Lara Smith Family
Thursday, March 24, 2011 • Posted March 24, 2011

Saturday, March 26th, the Richland Springs High School National Honor Society and others will hold a fund raiser for Ed, Lara, Krystal, and Emily Smith. The Smith family lost their home and all of their possessions in a tragic fire in Richland Springs on February 2, 2011.

Beginning at 5:00 p.m., a fish fry and cake auction will be held at the Richland Springs Fire Station this coming Saturday to raise money to help the Smiths replace some of their possessions. Donations are also welcome. Please join the NHS and others in their spring community fund raiser as they strive to help out one of their own members, Emily Smith.

Emily is a senior at Richland Springs High School where she has served her school in many positions. She is a member of the National Honor Society, a member of the Lady Coyotes Basketball team, a member of One Act Play, a cheerleader, a class officer, and is always willing to help anyone who needs help. The lives of Emily and her family were changed forever when a lifetime of possessions and personal treasures were lost within minutes. Please come and help the National Honor Society and the community support this family in their time of need.
