Hill Country Children's Advocacy Center 12th Annual Pedal Power Wildflower Ride

On Saturday, April 2, 2011, come ride one of the prettiest routes in the Texas Hill Country, along quiet roads, with an abundance of spring wildflowers. All proceeds benefit the Hill Country Children’s Advocacy Center (www.hccac.org). This Center provides services, at no cost, to physically and/or sexually abused children in an eight county region west of Austin and north of San Antonio.

Registration on Ride day is from 7:30 - 9:00 AM at the LBJ State Park Visitor Center where Riders pick-up their T-Shirt, Wristband, Maps, & Goodies bag.

The cost is $35 by March 31st, and $40 after or on ride day.

The ride starts at 9:00AM in front of the Pavllion. Actual start time depends on distance. Route Options range from easy to difiicult and are12, 24, 36, and 62 miles.

The 62 mile route includes the challenging hill on the Willow City Loop!

Those riding 62 & 36 miles start at 9:00 AM, and those riding 24 & 12 miles start at 9:15 AM. No riders may start after 10:00AM. Riders must be off the course by 4:00PM.

Breakfast & Lunch are included and will be at the Pavillion. Muffins, coffee, and soda’s are available in the A.M., and then upon the rider’s return, they can enjoy a loaded baked potato, rolls, salad and cookies for dessert.

Plentiful Rest Stops & SAG Support. Snacks, water, and "potties" provided every 10-15 miles. SAG support is readily available along the course, with motorcycle lookouts and Trucks/SUVs manned by HAMs at the ready. Our loyal Sponsors provide well-stocked Rest Stops, which are a highlight of the ride! Austin Bicycle Sport Shop has mechanics available on-site & in a mobile van.
